CHILD POVERTY IN NEPAL

Contact:
[email protected]

Goal: $3,600

Every year we sponsor 10 little lamas at the Nepal Jonang Monastery, providing them with food, clothing, medical care, and education.

This year we'll raise this money through Change the World boxes, a holiday alternative gift bazaar, and perhaps a spring garage sale.
Where Should We Help?

Our Sangha will be choosing its outreach partners for each year by vote. Let us hear who you'd like to see us support. Send us suggestions for our support, we'll publish them in the newsletter and ask for your votes.

Suggestions so far are:

  • Buddhist Peace Fellowship (Buddhist Activism)
  • Tibetan Nun Project
  • Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty

Send outreach suggestions to [email protected]

CHANGE THE WORLD BOXES

Add a simple act of generosity to your evening practice:

You know that change in your pocket or purse at the end of the day?

Put it in a Change the World Box each night, dedicate the merit, and bring the change to your Sangha each month.

Check the monthly newsletter to see who's been blessed with your generosity.

Pick up your box all Sangha meetings and on First Fridays.

ARTISAN GIFT BAZAAR

Looking for artisans!
Each year we offer an alternative gifts bazaar around the Christmas season.

All items are offered freely, not sold, and any donations go to our various outreach projects.

Artisan crafts by our Sangha members include:
  • Adult coloring books
  •  Buddhist jewelry
  • Greeting cards
  • Photography on metal

Thangkas from Tashi's collection are sold from time to time by silent auction. `

If you have hand made gifts you can contribute, please contact [email protected]

Can you make or contribute other items to sell?
